One Step At A Time

The Highline Trail in Glacier National Park begins at Logan Pass on the Going-to-the-Sun Road, and follows the west side of the Continental Divide northward for over 30 miles, and eventually ends in Canada. The Highline Trail is one of the main arteries that gives backpackers access to the remote northern backcountry of Glacier National Park. This is where one of my favorite memories from my summer travels occurred. I felt so free in this place. Walking for hours not entirely knowing where I’ll end up, waiting for grizzly bears to cross the path ahead, and seeing once-in-a-lifetime glaciers is me view of freedom. I ended the day hiking 18 miles on this trail, all seeing the described above and much more one step at a time.
